Charlie has always had horses and ponies growing up, many old and unridable but always just loved time with them!
When she was very young, Charlie worked at a riding school for payment in lessons, helped out various people with their horses care and generally anyone that would put up with horse mad teenager!
As an older teenager Charlie worked for a local national event rider with livery yard riding young or green horses and schooling owners horses right through to the bosses event horses before moving to Surrey to work on Arab stallion showing yard. Here Charlie was travelling horses to competitions all over Europe including Paris world championships.
From there moved to Berkshire working on showing yard with BYRDS national dressage rider, riding young horses and preparing horses for show ring hunting and riding horses of all levels, to warming in for riders/ owners to national standards with horses winning at all national levels including Hoys, Royal Windsor and Many County titles with various types of horse.
Charlie has had amazing opportunities to train and ride with many people from queens guard ex riders to international and national show jumpers and dressage riders and many horses from all walks of life, and how to produce top class turnout for showing and dressage arenas.
Charlie spent some time in Devon on a private yard and had amazing few years just enjoying a quiet life before returning to Kent working freelance and coming across Sole Street. Charlie started at Sole Street breaking young thoroughbreds for a local rider.
Charlie has now been at Sole Street for 20 yrs and still pony mad!
Charlie holds alternative therapy certificates as well as being fully trained in equine rehab.
In Charlie’s words: “I have had amazing younger career on competition yards and so grateful for everything I have learnt and now enjoy much quieter life here at the yard!”
